Coated or Painted, Laser Engraving Anilox Roll for Printing Industry
Anilox Roll Description
Anilox rollers are made of metal or ceramic, and the surface of the roller is mechanically or optically engraved with many cavities also called anilox. The surface of the anilox roller is made with ink cavities and mesh walls as the ink transfer roller for the quantitative ink supply of flexographic printing. On the surface of the anilox roller, there are many tiny concave holes of uniform shape, which we generally call "inking holes", and it is these inking holes that play the role of ink storage, ink leveling and quantitative ink transfer in printing. The inking holes are generally carved along the axis at 45°, and the wall between the inking holes is called "anilox wall", and the area of the wall follows the shape of the inking holes.

Anilox Roll Classification
Anilox rolls are classified according to their surface coating or spraying materials, there are mainly two kinds of chrome plated anilox rolls and ceramic anilox rolls.
Processing of chrome-plated anilox rolls The processing of chrome-plated anilox rolls usually includes three processes: pre-processing of roll body, anilox processing and post-treatment.
Laser engraved ceramic anilox rollers use plasma method to melt metal oxide (AI2O3 or Cr2O3) and melt shot coating on the surface of metal light rollers to form a high hardness, solid and dense ceramic film combined with metal rollers, which is ground and polished, and then the laser beam is used to engrave ink cavities on the ceramic surface.
